A Gluten-Free Day in Florence

Florence, with its rich history and culinary excellence, is a dream destination. Especially for those seeking incredible gluten-free options.

Florence, with its rich history and culinary excellence, is a dream destinationespecially for those, like myself, seeking incredible gluten-free options.

Heading to Italy soon? Worried about your dietary requirements? Here’s my personal guide on how to enjoy a gluten-free day in Florence at the hottest spots in town!

#1 La Milkeria

My adventure begins at La Milkeria, a cozy café best known for its innovative take on breakfast. As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made waffles. The gluten-free waffle, served with a generous topping of Nutella and a scoop of creamy gelato, is nothing short of heavenly.

The waffles are fluffy, light, and indulgent. Pair this treat with a rich Italian espresso, and you’ve got the perfect breakfast to fuel your day.

It’s the ultimate sweet start for gluten-free travellers in Florence.

#2 Sgrano

When lunchtime rolls around, I’ll head to local favourite Sgrano for lunch. One I suggest you do not miss! Sgrano has one of the most extensive gluten free menus I’ve ever seen!

Every element of their menu and food is perfection. With every bite, you’ll understand why the locals are talking about it.

#3 Ciro and Sons

After exploring Florence’s iconic sights, like the Uffizi Gallery, I make my way to Ciro and Sons for dinner! This charming pizzeria is renowned for its traditional Italian pizza, offering a dedicated gluten-free kitchen

Florence makes it easy to experience the richness of Italian cuisine without compromising your health. Traveling with dietary restrictions can be daunting, but this city ensures that you don’t have to miss out on its culinary magic.

Before you embark on your international gluten free adventure, don’t forget to secure Travel InsuranceIt’s an essential step for peace of mind, so you can focus entirely on enjoying every gluten-free bite Florence has to offer.
